Flonase side effects

Flonase is in the class or the medication called the corticosteroids. In each 100mg of the Flonase spray contains 50µg of Fluticasone. There are other nonmedical composition of the medication, they include: dextrose, benzalkonium chloride, cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, Phenyl ethyl alcohol, Carboxymethylcellulose sodium, purified water and polysorbate 80. Flonase is used in the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis which includes perennial rhinitis and hay fever. It is useful in the management or such symptoms as sinus pain as well as pressure that is linked with allergic rhinitis. It could take two to three days for the drug to get to its complete effect. There is however certain people who may not feel the effect until two weeks of taking the medication.   • White patches inside throat or nose
  • Blood nasal mucus
  • Eye problems including blurred vision or eye pain
  • Severe, unexplained bleed of nose.

Dosage, overdose and general Flonase information

Children who are at least 12 years old and adults should take two sprays in each of the nostrils once daily. However if the condition is severe, two sprays every 12 hours could be more beneficial but it should not exceed four sprays at maximum for one day in each nostril. For children between the ages of four and eleven, the dose is one to two sprays in each nostril in the morning, for this age group, two sprays is maximum dose for each nostril. Gently shake the medicine before you use it. Gently blow your nose in order to clear it before using the medication. The best result of this medication is achieved by regular usage daily. If it is a seasonal allergy then the medication should be used before being exposed to the source of the allergy. If you are using Flonase for the first time, ensure that you prime the pump. There are a lot of factors that may affect the dose of the medication that each person needs. For example the body weight of the individual or other medications.
