Loratab is a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. It is a medicine which is used to treat different type of pain from severe pain or just moderate pain. This is because it has a narcotic pain reliever: the hydrocodone together with a non-narcotic pain reliever: the acetaminophen. The hydrocodone works in the brain by controlling on how it responds to the pain perceived. Loratab can also be used to reduce the fever.

For example you can eat the food full of fiber and to take enough water so that you will not get constipation. To prevent yourself from feeling dizziness, you have to stand up slowly. However regardless of how you think that the side effects are severe, you are not in any position to stop the medicine without being told to do it by the doctor. Before you take the medicines you have also to let your doctor to be aware if you are taking any other medicine or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients that make the laratab. You have also to be extra careful if you are suffering alcohol dependence, diabetes or liver disease.
The dosage of Loratab depends on many things such as how you respond to it, the weight of patient especially for the children and other medication that a patient is taking. You should never change the dosage yourself unless the doctor tells you so. The loratab can be taken by anyone and children from two years. The children of the age of 2 years up to three years should take 3.75 ml. These of 4 up to 6 years have to take 5 ml and these of 7-9 years have to take 7.5 ml. 10 -13 years of age has to take 10 ml. Adult should take above 15 ml and the dose can be given after every 6 hours.
