Symbicort is the medicine that is sold only on prescription to treat asthma and other chronic obstructive  Pulmonary Disease also known as COPD. The medicine is a combination of different medicine such as Beta adrenergic receptor and corticosteroid. Asthma is a chronic disease that affects the airways with the tubes that carry air into your lungs. Normally the doctor is the one to assess if you need the medicine or not, and he is the one to decide about the dosage you have to take. The factors that contribute to determination of the dosage include medical problem that have to be treated, severity of breathing. Different medications that the patient is already taking. You should never try to adjust the dosage yourself without the advice from your doctor. The recommended dosage is an inhalation of 160/4.5 strength two time. If you want to use the Symbicort, you have to know that it comes as an inhaler. The medicine has to be inhaled into lungs at least twice every day with 12 hours intervals. Before you use Symbicort you have first to test spray it into the air. You should shake the asthma gently for each use. Wait about one minute before you inhale the medicine again. Make sure that you washed you mouth after each use to keep away thrush.
