This drug is a painkiller and is a mixture of two salts those are acetaminophen and hydrocodone. This drug is categorized in the Narcotic analgesic combinations and is in the market with the brand names of Maxidone, Norco, Polygesic, Stagesic, Vicodin, Xodol, Zamicet, Zolvit, ZydoneAnexsia, Co-Gesic, Dolorex Forte, Hycet, Liquicet, Lorcet, and Lortab. The acetaminophen is narcotic in nature and well known pain killer white the other salt is of same properties but of lesser impact. But this combination certainly increases the ability of the drug to maximum level to kill the pains.
As it is known that this is a pain reliever and is use to kill the pain ranging from moderate pain to very high intensity pains in almost all of the body. Actually these salts have good coordination and complement each other well and have impact on brain to stimulate the neurons of that particular pain site and the neuron do the rest by disconnecting the pain omitting chemicals on the synapse causing pain relive. Basically they are god pain reliever with excellent mode of action
Vicodin side effects are not very large in number but surely this drug can be life threatening. Some of the vicodin side effects are as follow.

- Constipation can be seen in patients using this drug
- Patient may feel difficulty breathing
- Dizziness is very common among those people who use these tablets

- Change in amount and color of urine is seen
- Loss of hearing is also observed in it.
- Anxiety and interrupted breathing are very common side effects of this drug.
It is quite clear that Vicodin side effects can amplify your problems and can aggravate other health conditions which are normally not prevailing when you are not using this drug. If you have missed the dose. Don’t repeat that dose but instead wait for the time of next dose. As it is a drug which should be out of reach from the children. This medicine can be taken with or without food. As it is has any potencies available in the market, so the dose of the medicine totally depend upon the type of pain you have and repeated doses you have taken. This can generally be taken twice a day for week or as told by your doctor.

I was been given the Vicodin because of high blood pressure. Even if it worked well I suffered pain and shaking on my left side. That’s why am afraid of taking these. I talked to my doctor and he told me not to worry. It may take sometime time to adjust with this medicine. But I tried this medicine for long time but still not getting relief from the side effects of this medicine. Now am try to get anything else to replace this medicine to get relief of the side effects.
The doctor chose to give me the Vicodin for high blood pressure. I begun to take Vicodin because of the combination of hypertension with high heart rate. I begun on 12 mg per day until my heart rate got down to 60 and below. The medicine was the best thing that has happened to me because I am more relaxed now and calmer. However, the problem is that I am gaining the weight slowly even if I have not changed my diet. I want to go to see a physician to tell me if there is any problem and what I should do.
The doctor decided to give me Vicodin because of anxiety. At first my doctor had given me the drug because of the hypertension and I have no side effects with it. I was not aware that it can help with anxiety until the doctor asked me to take one when I felt like my heart was in a race. It had helped me however, I am not sure that it really works with the anxiety or it was because of the placebo effect. Now am trying to get relief of this with the help of my personal doctor.
